Q. Is it really free to register?
A. Yes, registration if totally free, we don’t require any fee from accredited assessors to join our network. All we ask is that you inform us of your usual weekly availability and accreditation details.
Q. How are jobs allocated?
A. Once a booking is made for a DEA on the Just EPC website the nearest assessor with availability located to the property will be sent a notification via email & sms requesting the assessor to Accept OR Decline the new Job. The notification will have the clients preferred date and time of the appointment in Morning, Afternoon and Late afternoon / early evening slots which are based around a 3-hour window. We allow assessors to re-schedule the surveys with the clients if the assessor really needs to as long as the new survey date is within 48 hours of the original client survey date.
Q. How do I receive my instructions?
A. When an instruction is made with you as the assigned assessor, you will receive an email and SMS informing you of the instruction along with a link to access the full instruction details. If you do not respond within a certain timeframe with your acceptance of the pre-paid instruction, the job may be reallocated to the next assessor in the list.
Q. How do I get paid?
A. All instructions are pre-paid by either credit or debit card, so your fees are safe as no instructions are offered without payment from the client. Once we have received notification that the EPC job has been completed on the system (by way of you uploading the PDF of the EPC to the JOB in your portal area) the job is then automatically and instantly marked for payment. The payment ‘runs’ to our assessors are usually every Friday. Fees are a minimum of £40 per EPC survey.
Q. I am VAT registered. Can I still join Just EPC?
A. Yes you can although we can still only pay the maximum fee for your geographic area. Please contact us to discuss this more.
Q. How do you make your money?
A. Just EPC will add a small booking margin together with VAT of this margin to the fees we pay to the assessors as a disbursement payment. to the offered fees to cover the cost of administration and processing of the appointment. This admin margin will be deducted from the overall client fee prior to disbursement of the assessor fees.
